Check Mate!

Bootsale fabric on the washing line on a lovely sunny Autumn day, just makes me smile!

My mum and I did a car boot last weekend and the car opposite us had this kingsize bedding set for £3.00. Yep I ran on over there and snapped it up, just love checks and the red and cream is so very country don't you think.

This is not for my bed but destined for my sewing stash. Am seeing Christmas when I look at it, which is not good I know as it is still, after all, only September!

  1. That was a great bargain! I have the set in that colour, and blue. I got them from Dunelm Mill about 3 years ago. I love bargains like this!!
Before my son's bedroom was decorated, I got about 7 metres of blue, yellow & white stripy fabric for £3 from a car boot!!! This was a lovely cheap way of making new curtains for his bedroom. It's quite a wide window too, so could have been expensive!!

  2. £3 !!!! wow what a bargain and you will be able to make loads of christmas goodies with that lot. I love checks and ginghams too, it always reminds me of when my mum makes jams. She always used to put either red or blue checked material on the top of the jars. Cant wait to see what you do with it. Thankyou for your lovely comment on my black & yellow card im so pleased you like it.
    Love n hugs
