Another sewing book, this time by Tone Finnanger

I just love Tone Finnanger as a designer. Bought the book Sew Pretty Homestyle last year which is full of pretty pastel colour photographs and the most gorgeous things to make! One of my earlier posts shows my first attempt at the bamboo handle bag.

Well now there is another book by Tone due for release at the end of this month, I have it on pre-order from Amazon. RRP is £14.99 but they have got it for £8.99 with free p&p!

Just look at that cover, isn't it just the cutest thing ever! Loving the nod to quaint english beachhuts/cottages, I want to live in one of those! Mind you they don't come cheap, on our recent trip to Mudeford found their beachhuts were going for a mere £145,000!!!

Product Description (from Amazon) This is a beautiful collection of over 50 delightful projects that blend timeless seaside charm with effortless country elegance. Choose from a stunning variety of home and personal accessories, including chic handbags and espadrilles, pretty cushions, throws and loveable, cuddly soft toys. Easy-to-follow instructions, gorgeous colour photographs and delightful illustrations accompany each project. Try an array of sewing techniques such as applique and free embroidery, and create beautiful accessories that will bring a little sunshine into your home all year round.

I have to admit that it's a close call between Cath Kidston and Tone Finannger as to which one is my fave sewing book. I think Cath has amazing designs in fabrics but for me Tone wins on the delightful to flick through front. I think it's the subtle colour palette of the pictures and the cutsie designs. But really there's not much in it, both author's books are always out on my coffee table to look at.

One thing I have realised, and that is my collection of sewing books is growing but I am not actually sewing much at the moment. Hmm something a bit wrong there, must rectify that soon!

Thanks for popping by xx
